Less is more…what?

This common design proverb leaves a lot to the imagination

Less is more informative?

A great editor can communicate more effectively by using fewer words, but in meaningful combinations.

Less is more colorful?

Many brands are more effective today at using a limited color palette to evoke strong emotions, and to draw considered attention to the right areas within an interface.

Less is more functional?

Gestures, sensors, and haptic feedback systems are steadily replacing physical buttons. Is the bold new world equally or more intuitive? Or is a lot being sacrificed in the translation?

Less is more…effective…only when all things are considered.
