“It’s not for me”

A lame response, in my opinion

It’s followed promptly by, “I’m out”.

Taken metaphorically, it means “I don’t want to get involved”.

Taken literally, it means “I am not your customer”.

In my opinion, a great response is:

“I understand you may not see yourself as our target customer. But would you agree that many others are…and with your investment, we could both help those people and make lots of money…?”

“It’s not for me” is an unhelpful “no”.

Do your best to coax from them a more helpful “no”. You may come upon a “yes”.
