Done? Or designed?

Let’s compare using two examples

Speed limit pavement markings

Done

Print ‘20 mph’ and affix to pavement

Designed

Print large enough to be seen. Skew the artwork to accommodate visibility at a severe angle — common for all drivers.

Pantry shelves

Done

Measure to account for enough space between top and bottom shelf for tallest item to fit.

Designed

Add 4–6 inches to account for the over-reaching motion commonly used when placing that item back on the shelf.

If your goal is compliance, your outcome could still be tragically inaccessible.
